US Bank's UHNW Unit Bolsters Workforce In San Francisco

Ascent Private Capital Management, US Bank’s ultra high net worth business which caters to clients with at least $50 million in investable assets, has made three senior hires in San Francisco, CA.

Tom Crotty has been named managing director of financial administration, responsible for risk management, customized reporting, information management coordination, financial administration and tax reporting coordination.

Crotty was previously president of Montgomery Professionals, a San Francisco Bay Area accounting and staffing firm. Prior to that, he was senior managing director of US CPA firm CIBZ MHM.

Meanwhile, Stephen Florance has been appointed as managing director, investment consulting – a role in which he will help clients create investment portfolios.

Before joining Ascent, Florance was a managing director at Hall Capital Partners, responsible for managing portfolios and conducting research across all asset classes. Previously, he worked at BancAmerica Robertson Stephens as a hedge fund accountant.

Lastly, Sisi Tran joins as managing director of wealth strategy, charged with advising families on wealth planning matters such as trust and estate planning, tax planning, multi-generational planning, family governance and risk management.  

Tran is latterly of Convergent Wealth Advisors, where she was a director of trust and estate planning in Los Angeles, CA. 

All appointees will be supported by a national advisory team that provides wealth impact planning and other services in the Bay Area, US Bank said.

In related news, at the end of July Ascent hired Eric Stern as managing director of private banking, also in San Francisco, CA.
